Anambra Police Capture Robbery Suspect Udochukwu Okafor

The Anambra State Police Command arrested a 26-year-old suspect, Udochukwu Okafor, also known as Small-Moto, during an operation in Ebenebe, Awka North Local Government Area. The arrest occurred on Saturday, following intelligence-led efforts by the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu.

According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Okafor had been on the wanted list for his alleged involvement in armed robbery, kidnapping, cult-related activities, and secessionist-related offences. Preliminary interrogation revealed that he allegedly snatched a pump-action firearm from a vigilante operative.

Okafor also reportedly possessed a locally made short gun, which he and his gang used in criminal operations. He admitted to being a member of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, known for cult-related violence in the area.

Investigations are ongoing to recover the firearms mentioned and to apprehend other gang members still at large. Okafor remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
