Police Arrest Ward Head Over Alleged Rape Of 12-yr-old Girl In Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command arrested Mohammed Tukur Sabon Gari Village, a ward head, for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl named Zulei Malam Dahiru. The victim was taken to the General Hospital Zambuk for a medical examination, while the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.

The police strongly condemned all forms of sexual violence and urged residents to report criminal cases promptly for swift action. In a separate case, the police arrested Hassan Aminu Sadiq, a wanted serial armed robbery suspect in Yelwa Quarters Kwadon, Gombe.

Sadiq was found in possession of a roll of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and confessed to being involved in two armed robbery cases pending in the High Court. The suspect has been transferred to the Squad for further investigation and prosecution.
