Woman Arrested for Staging Own Kidnap in Edo, N5m Ransom Recovered

The Edo State Police Command arrested a 27-year-old woman, Chioma Adaniken, for allegedly staging her own kidnapping and extorting N5 million ransom from her husband with the help of her cousin, Osita Godfrei. The incident unfolded in Benin City, with the police recovering the ransom money.

Further investigations led to the arrest of Chioma's accomplice, Martin Chodozi. The police commended the swift response of their anti-kidnap unit and emphasized their commitment to combatting crime in the state.
