Nigeria Police Ban PoS Transactions at FCID Annex Lagos

The Nigeria Police Force has issued a ban on Point of Sale (PoS) transactions within the premises of the FCID Annex in Lagos. This directive was announced by Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Simeon Akpanudom on Thursday during a general lecture and strategic meeting with section heads at the command headquarters.

The ban aligns with instructions from Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu, as stated by FCID Annex spokesperson ASP Aminat Mayegun. The decision aims to address inconsistencies in security standards and operational ethics, warning that such practices could create opportunities for corruption and compromise official procedures.

AIG Akpanudom urged officers to maintain professional discipline and ensure compliance with due process while carrying out their duties. He also emphasized the importance of proper scrutiny and verification of intelligence reports.

Furthermore, he cautioned against handling land-related disputes indiscriminately and stressed the need for adherence to established legal investigative procedures to protect the image of the Nigeria Police Force.
