Jigawa Police Arrest Motorcycle Syndicate Linked to Killings

The Jigawa State Police Command has apprehended members of a motorcycle-snatching syndicate linked to the killings of nine individuals and the theft of 33 motorcycles across Kaduna, Kano, and Jigawa States. This information was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, in a statement on Thursday in Dutse.

The police's breakthrough followed an incident where a suspect attacked an Okada rider in Aujara District, Jahun LGA, leading to the recovery of the stolen motorcycle and the suspect's arrest. Subsequent investigations revealed the syndicate's involvement in violent crimes, including attacks that resulted in injuries and fatalities.

The suspects were identified as Ado Saleh, Abdullahi Saidu, Magaji Danladi, Sabiu Miko, Habibu Dan Iya, Shamsu Sani, Ali Salisu, Alhassan Isa, and Ado Ali. Commissioner of Police, CP Tijjani Murtala, praised the police personnel and directed further investigations to identify additional members of the syndicate and recover more stolen motorcycles.
