Police Confirm Abduction of 17 Passengers by Sea Pirates on Calabar-Oron Waterways

The Cross River State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of 17 passengers by sea pirates on the Calabar-Oron waterways. The incident occurred when gunmen hijacked a commercial passenger boat operated by Sea Express Limited, carrying around 30 people from Calabar, Cross River State, to Oron, Akwa Ibom State.

Efforts are underway to rescue the victims, with joint security operations and marine police patrols deployed to track the assailants. This abduction highlights the need for enhanced security measures to protect passengers and prevent future attacks on waterways.
