Police Rescue Woman and Twin Sons from Kidnappers

On June 6, 2026, the Nigeria Police Force confirmed the successful rescue of an abducted woman, Mr. Olaid Busayo Adegok, and her 12-year-old twin sons, John Paul and Peter Paul, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The children were reported kidnapped on June 3, 2026, while being driven to school. The operation was coordinated by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and involved tactical surveillance and intelligence gathering.

At approximately 7:30 PM on June 6, police confronted the suspects, resulting in the neutralization of two individuals who sustained fatal wounds. The police recovered two rifles from the suspects.

The victims were found unharmed and were taken into custody to receive medical care and support. IGP Olatunji Disu commended the professionalism and courage of the officers involved in the operation and reaffirmed the police's commitment to combating violent crime and ensuring public safety.
