The FCT Police Command announced on March 15, 2023, that a letter circulating within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) alleging a terrorist plan for an imminent attack was discredited. The letter, reportedly sent by a suspected bandit, warned students at a private school in the Kungaboku community about a planned attack on neighboring villages.

The police stated that the letter was not from a terrorist group but was the work of mischief-makers aiming to incite fear among residents.
