FCT Police Dismiss Viral Shooting Video, Arrest Kidnappers

The FCT Police Command has dismissed a viral video that claimed there was a terrorist advance in Abuja, labeling it as false and misleading. The Commissioner of Police, Ahm Sanusi, assured residents of their safety and confirmed the arrest of three suspects linked to multiple kidnapping incidents.

The suspects, identified as Nasiru Abdullahi, Samaila Dahiru Bello, and Usman, were arrested during a targeted raid in the Bwari Area Council, which borders Kaduna State. Preliminary investigations revealed that they were involved in the kidnapping of Mallam Bako from Gushawai Village on April 8, 2026, with a ransom demand of N50 million.

The police also noted that Bello Usman had been on their watchlist for two years for coordinating criminal operations. The police urged the public to disregard the viral video and report any suspicious activities, emphasizing their commitment to public safety.
