FCT Police Orders Forensic Analysis of False Terror Video

The FCT Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Ahm Sanusi, has ordered a forensic analysis of a viral video circulating on social media that falsely alleges a terrorist attack in Abuja. Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the video is misleading and designed to incite panic among the public.

The police confirmed that there have been no recorded attacks or security breaches within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Preliminary findings suggest that the gunshot sounds in the video were edited and superimposed from unverified sources, showing unidentified locations with no verified links to the FCT.

The Commissioner of Police has mandated a detailed forensic investigation to identify the origin of the video for possible prosecution under existing laws. The command has also cautioned content creators against spreading false information that could cause public disorder and has urged residents to ignore and refrain from sharing such misleading content.
