Police and FBI Arrest Internet Fraudsters in Lagos and Edo States

The Nigerian Police Force, FBI, and US Secret Service collaborated to apprehend three internet fraudsters in Lagos and Edo states. The suspects allegedly targeted email systems of major corporations in Nigeria using phishing links and malicious software.

The arrests were made following credible intelligence received from Microsoft Corporation and the FBI, revealing the use of a sophisticated phishing toolkit known as Raccoon365. This toolkit was designed to create fraudulent Microsoft login portals to harvest user credentials unlawfully.
