Kaduna Police Kill Bandits, Recover 31 Firearms in Crackdown

The Kaduna State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad, has achieved a major breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown on banditry and gunrunning. Over the past two weeks, the police have dislodged several bandit camps across the local government areas of Kajuru, Tafa, Igabi, and Kauru.

This operation resulted in the neutralization of numerous bandits during fierce gun battles, with some suspects escaping with gunshot wounds. Additionally, five notorious suspects linked to a criminal network and involved in drug supply were apprehended.

The police also made significant arms recoveries, including three AK-47 rifles, one SMG rifle, two English pistols, four fabricated pistols, and 21 locally fabricated firearms. Furthermore, a large quantity of hard drugs was seized, marking a substantial success in the fight against organized crime in the region.
