Police Neutralise Bandit, Rescue Kidnap Victims In Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command successfully neutralized a suspected bandit in a gun battle at Gwana District in the Yankari Game Reserve, Alkaleri local government area. The operation also led to the rescue of kidnap victims who had been abducted by the bandit.

The police received a distress call from residents of Yalo Mansur community reporting an attack on Kataraje Village. The joint police team swiftly mobilized to the scene, provided medical assistance to the injured, and launched a pursuit of the assailant.

In the ensuing gun battle, the bandit was neutralized, and the hostages were rescued unharmed. The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu, commended the operatives for their courage and dedication in protecting the community.

The police reassured the public of their commitment to maintaining public order and safeguarding citizens' lives and property.
