Police Investigate Killing of Herder in Benue State Amid Suspect Controversy

The police are probing the killing of a herder in Benue State, with conflicting reports emerging about the incident. The State Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Risku Muhammad, claimed that the herder was killed in Ogobia community on Friday.

However, the police refuted claims of releasing suspects within three hours of the incident. The Public Relations Officer, DSP Udeme Edet, denied the existence of suspects at the scene.

The police have called for a thorough investigation and assured that the perpetrators will face justice.
