Police Release Ilebaye's Father After Domestic Dispute

Mr. Lami Odiniya, the father of Big Brother Naija star Ilebaye, was released by the police following a brief detention on May 9, 2023, due to an alleged domestic altercation.

The incident reportedly stemmed from a visit to his residence at Royal Anchor Estate to see Ilebaye's younger brother ahead of his 24th birthday. Ilebaye claimed that the situation escalated during a disagreement regarding the upbringing of their children, influenced by parental factors.

The altercation resulted in Ilebaye sustaining facial injuries, as shown in a viral video. Mr.

Odiniya was briefly detained at the Wuye Division Police Headquarters after police intervened to enforce a court order directing the return of the boys to their father's residence. The police were also involved in rescuing Ilebaye from a confrontation with security personnel, as she faced resistance while trying to enter the compound.
