Police Reveal Details of ARISE News Anchor's Tragic Death in Abuja Robbery

The Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory, Ajao Adewale, disclosed details surrounding the tragic death of ARISE News anchor Somtochukwu Maduagwu during an armed robbery in Katampe, Abuja. Maduagwu was found unconscious by a police patrol team responding to a distress call and was pronounced dead at Maitama General Hospital.

The robbery occurred at Unique Apartments, where armed men overpowered security guards, leading to a fatal shooting. Maduagwu, residing on the third floor, reportedly jumped in fear during the chaos.

The FCT Police Command has deployed a specialized investigation team to track down the culprits, ensuring justice for the deceased journalist.
