PSC and CIoD Partner for Enhanced Public Sector Governance

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has established a partnership with the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria (CIoD) to enhance good governance within the public sector. This collaboration was formalized during a courtesy visit by CIoD delegates, led by Second Vice President Alhaji Lami S.

Dikko, to the PSC headquarters in Abuja. The PSC, represented by Chairman Forti Kalu and retired Deputy Inspector General Hashimu Salihu Argungu, aims to advance transparency and accountability in governance.

The partnership will particularly focus on training PSC's executive and non-executive directors to develop the necessary skills for optimal performance. Argungu emphasized the need for the CIoD's objectives to align with the PSC's commitment to moving beyond traditional civil service practices towards corporate good governance.

The PSC expressed eagerness for a robust partnership that will facilitate ongoing collaboration in governance advocacy and capacity development.
