Police Find Bodies of Two Residents in Ondo State

The Ondo State Police Command reported the discovery of two bodies belonging to residents Loyinmi Bode and Andrew in a bush within the Akotogbo community, Irele Local Government Area. The bodies were found in separate locations on a Friday, with the incident occurring within a month that has heightened tensions in the agrarian community.

Local residents have called for urgent intervention from security agencies and the state government. Police spokesperson Abayomi Jimoh confirmed that the command is fully aware of the situation and has taken steps to restore calm.

He emphasized that it is the mandate of the police to protect lives and property while ensuring law and order in Ondo State. Robust security measures have been implemented in Akotogbo and neighboring communities to prevent any breakdown of law and order and to sustain public safety.

Efforts are ongoing to identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible for the deaths.
