Adamu Criticizes APC Over Gubernatorial Primary Manipulation

Former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu has publicly condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC) for what he describes as a scheme to manipulate the gubernatorial primaries in Nasarawa State. Adamu accused the party of planning to sabotage the electoral process by pressuring ward executives across 147 wards to endorse preferred candidates ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial elections.

He characterized this effort as a form of political manipulation and a brazen attempt to hijack the party's democratic processes. Adamu specifically warned that such clandestine motivations could undermine the party's integrity and lead to chaos.

He called on APC leadership, including state chairman Aliyu Bello, to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants during the primaries. Furthermore, he urged President Bola Tinubu to take immediate action to protect the party's integrity and called for the intervention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to prevent coercive tactics that threaten public peace.
