Onanuga Critiques Obi's Exit from African Democratic Congress

Onanuga has publicly criticized Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, following Obi's exit from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He referred to Obi as a "political nomad" and dismissed the reasons given for his departure as illogical and self-serving.

Onanuga argued that Obi's move to abandon the ADC, where he sought to contest against Atiku Abubakar, was opportunistic and would lead to failure in the upcoming elections. He highlighted Obi's history of switching political parties, noting that he previously served two terms as governor under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was impeached briefly, and later defected to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and then the Labour Party.

Obi is currently part of a coalition aiming to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2025 elections, which has led to a crisis within the ADC.
