Tinubu's Reforms Claim to Aid Poor Nigerians, Says Presidency

The Nigerian Presidency, represented by Special Adviser Daniel Bwala, asserted that the reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu are designed to benefit poor Nigerians significantly. During an interview on Tuesday, Bwala emphasized several government initiatives aimed at improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

He mentioned the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which provides opportunities for millions of students from low-income families to pursue higher education. Bwala stated that without such interventions, these students would struggle to achieve their dreams.

He also discussed the government's efforts in the healthcare sector, including free caesarean section services and a 50% subsidy on dialysis treatment, which target vulnerable Nigerians. Bwala maintained that every major policy introduced by the current administration is intended to directly benefit low-income Nigerians, highlighting the impact of the compressed natural gas (CNG) initiative in reducing transport costs.
