Nigerians Benefiting from Tinubu's Policies, Says Onanuga

Onanuga, serving as a special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, defended the administration's economic policies, asserting that Nigerians are benefiting from government programs despite widespread concerns about hunger and rising living costs. In an interview, he disagreed with the portrayal of hunger levels in Nigeria, citing various initiatives introduced by the Tinubu administration that have positively impacted citizens' lives.

Onanuga pointed to ongoing infrastructure projects, particularly the construction of concrete roads, as evidence of government achievements. He mentioned a recent trip from Ibadan to Lagos, where he experienced the quality of newly constructed roads.

Additionally, he referenced the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project, which has significantly reduced travel time. Onanuga also highlighted the federal government's student loan scheme, which provides interest-free loans to families with children in tertiary institutions, emphasizing that civil servants can access low-interest loans.

He acknowledged economic challenges but maintained that the situation is not hopeless and that Nigerians are adapting to current realities.
