Saheed Osupa Admits to Using 'Juju' for Success

On March 30, 2026, popular Fuji musician Saheed Osupa made a notable admission during a performance at the 52nd birthday celebration of veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Odua, also known as Lalude. In a video that surfaced online, Osupa humorously acknowledged his engagement with traditional spiritual practices, commonly referred to as 'juju' or voodoo, to assist in achieving success in life.

He advised his backup singers to adopt similar spiritual practices to improve their memory, as he noticed some struggled to keep up with the lyrics. Osupa clarified that his practices do not necessarily involve fetish elements.

He further revealed that he had previously denied engaging in supernatural practices but now openly acknowledges paying homage to the Ifa tradition, a Yoruba spiritual system. Osupa humorously argued that many people engage in similar practices, albeit privately.
