Ilorin Emir Urges Muslims to Pray for Nigeria's Peace

Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, has urged Muslims to engage in fervent prayers for Nigeria's peace during the ongoing lesser hajj in Saudi Arabia. In a goodwill message issued on Monday by his press secretary, Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir emphasized the need for harmony and coexistence among different religions to prevent a breakdown of law and order, which he identified as crucial for the nation’s growth and development.

He appealed to pilgrims from Kwara State and Nigerians in general to act as good ambassadors of the country while in Mecca and Medina, urging them to avoid actions that could portray Nigeria in a negative light. The Emir also encouraged Muslims intending to perform I'tikaf in mosques across the country to pray to Allah for ease and acceptance of their worship, while asking for good health and protection for their families back home.
