Neco Williams Critiques VAR After Disallowed Goal

Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams publicly challenged the VAR decision that disallowed his goal during the team's goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur. The incident occurred in the second half when Morgan Gibbs-White's shot prompted a scramble, and Williams scored with a header.

VAR ruled the goal out for handball, which Williams disputed. He had signed a contract extension until 2030 just days before the match.

The Premier League's Match Centre confirmed that VAR checked the referee's call and determined Williams handled the ball before scoring. On-field referee Craig Pawson announced the decision, while Forest head coach Oliver Glasner expressed skepticism, stating he reviewed multiple camera angles and found the evidence inconclusive.

This match marked the first time Nottingham Forest went three Premier League games without a win to start a season since 1990/91. Currently, Forest sits 16th in the table with two draws and one defeat.
