Prepaid Metre Prices Slashed for Ikeja Electric Customers as Nigerian Firm Offers Free Installation

New Hampshire Capital, a leading Asset Metre Provider (MAP), has announced a significant reduction in prepaid meter prices for Ikeja Electric customers, along with free installation. The company's Chief Operating Officer, Oluwakemi Omirin, stated that the new prices aim to empower consumers with an affordable and transparent way to manage their electricity usage effectively.

The firm has also funded and installed prepaid meters as part of the MAP initiative. Customers are encouraged to visit the DisCo website to apply for the meters.

The current price offered by New Hampshire Capital is lower than the previous rates, with an average price decrease observed from January to August 2025. This move aligns with the approved rates under the MAP scheme, ensuring that customers can purchase meters at the approved rate.

Additionally, recent developments in the electricity sector involve FBN Holdings' subsidiary, FBNQuest Trustees Limited, taking steps with key electricity firms like Egbin Power Plc, Ikeja Electric Plc, and First Independent Power Limited.
