Nigeria's Ambassador Presents Credentials to Côte d'Ivoire President

On June 18, 2026, Ambassador Ezenwa Chukwuemeka Nwaobiala presented his letters of credence to President Alassane Ouattara at the presidential palace in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Accompanied by his wife, Ladi Chidinma Nwaobiala, the ceremony marked the official start of Ambassador Nwaobiala's diplomatic assignment in Côte d'Ivoire, following his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Nwaobiala conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Tinubu to President Ouattara and the people of Côte d'Ivoire. He reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to further strengthening the long-standing bond of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

President Ouattara welcomed the Nigerian ambassador and reiterated the importance of the cordial relationship that exists between Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria, expressing readiness to work closely with the ambassador to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly within the framework of regional integration and economic development.
