Nigerian Presidency Confirms Release of 100 Abducted Students in Niger State

The Nigerian Presidency has confirmed the release of 100 abducted students from Papiri Catholic School in Niger State. Special Adviser on Information Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, issued a statement on Monday expressing joy over the development and emphasizing the need for intensified efforts to secure the release of the remaining 115 students and teachers still held hostage.

The Presidency assured affected parents and the community that the federal government is working closely with the Niger State government to ensure the freedom of the victims. President Tinubu has directed proactive measures to prevent further kidnappings and warned schools not to be soft targets for terrorists.
