Presidency doesn’t trust Gov Oyebanji over Fayemi’s alliance with ADC – Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose's brother, Isaac Fayose, has claimed that the presidency no longer trusts the current governor, Biodun Oyebanji, due to his predecessor Kayode Fayemi's alleged alliance with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Fayose made these claims in an Instagram video, stating that the presidency summoned Oyebanji to express concerns over the alliance.

According to Fayose, the presidency is worried that Oyebanji might defect to the ADC and win in 2026. Oyebanji was reportedly asked to sack Commissioners loyal to Fayemi, a directive that was eventually carried out.

Fayose also mentioned that the presidency informed Oyebanji that the primary election in the All Progressives Congress (APC) might not be free and fair, hinting that Oyebanji could be favored. The video ended with Fayose mocking Oyebanji, stating that the presidency trusts him.
