President Tinubu to Strengthen Bilateral Relations on State Visit to Türkiye

President Tinubu of Nigeria is scheduled to depart from Abuja on Monday, January 26, for a state visit to Türkiye (Turkey) with the aim of enhancing the existing cordial relations between the two countries. The visit will focus on exploring further areas of cooperation in security, education, social development, and innovation.

The Turkish President had previously visited Nigeria in October 2021. During the visit, President Tinubu and his entourage, including officials like Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and Hon.

Jimi Benson, will engage in strategic political and diplomatic discussions, sign memoranda of understanding, and explore trade and investment opportunities. The visit will also involve meetings with high-ranking Turkish officials, discussions on scientific research, energy, technical cooperation, media communication, military cooperation, and other business forums to attract investors.

President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria upon the conclusion of his visit.
