President Tinubu Begins Historic UK State Visit

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu left Abuja for the United Kingdom, accompanied by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. This state visit is significant as it is the first time in 37 years that a Nigerian leader will be hosted by a British monarch.

President Tinubu is set to meet with King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle on March 18 and 19. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, exploring avenues for collaboration on issues such as immigration, trade, investment, and cultural exchange.

Special adviser to President Tinubu has disclosed that King Charles will host the Nigerian leader and his wife during their stay. President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria following the conclusion of the state visit.
