Tinubu Appoints New PTDF Executive Secretary and TCN MD

On a Thursday announcement, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made significant appointments, including the appointment of Professor Shu Aibu Shehu Aliyu as the new Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), following the resignation of Aminu Galadima, who participated in the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State. Professor Aliyu will lead the PTDF until the appointment of an Executive Secretary for the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education.

His appointment aims to strengthen the petroleum sector and enhance human capital development in Nigeria's energy industry. Additionally, President Tinubu renewed Engr Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz's appointment as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for a second and final term, recognizing his leadership and improvements in the nation's transmission network.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of these appointments in aligning with the nation's service and hope agenda.
