President Tinubu Reconstitutes NERC Board, Names New Chairman and Vice Chairman

President Tinubu has reconstituted the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) board, appointing Mulisiu Olalekan Oseni as chairman and Yusuf Ali as vice chairman. Other members include Nathan Roger Shatti, Dafe Akpeney, Aisha Mahmud Kanti Bello, Chidi Ik, and Fouad Animashaun.

Oseni has been serving since 2017, while Ali was first appointed in 2022. The board's tenure aligns with the provisions of the Electricity Act 2023.

Fouad Animashaun brings extensive experience in the Nigerian power sector, having served as the CEO of the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
