Bauchi Senator Shehu Buba Withdraws from APC Race

Shehu Buba, the Senator representing Bauchi South, has officially withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship race in Bauchi State, citing alleged irregularities and breaches in the party's primary election process. In a statement issued by his special adviser, Sabo Muhammad, Buba accused APC officials of manipulating the primary process and announcing predetermined results without conducting an actual vote.

Following his withdrawal, Buba is reportedly set to defect to the People's Redemption Party (PRP). Supporters, including Haruna Modibbo of the Mujaddadi Kafar Kafarmu group, have expressed their loyalty to Buba and are mobilizing support for him ahead of the 2027 elections.

They emphasized Buba's credibility as a candidate, highlighting his record in youth empowerment, women's support programs, job creation, and healthcare. The group aims to ensure that capable leaders are elected, urging the public to look beyond party affiliations.
