Private Hospital in Abuja Offers to Admit Nnamdi Kanu Amid Health Concerns

Nnamdi Kanu's legal team revealed that a private hospital in Abuja has offered to admit and treat the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) amid concerns about his health. Special Counsel Aloy Ejimakor confirmed the offer, citing security reasons for not disclosing the hospital's name.

The Nigerian government had previously opposed transferring Kanu to a private hospital, preferring the National Hospital. Kanu is facing terrorism charges in the Federal High Court in Abuja, with his lawyer emphasizing his deteriorating health and the need for urgent medical care.

The Nigerian Medical Association's opinion is pending on the matter.
