Court Rejects Transfer of Nnamdi Kanu to National Hospital, Orders Medical Assessment

A court rejected a request for the transfer of detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu from the DSS facility to the National Hospital in Abuja for medical treatment. The ruling was made by Justice James Omotosho, who stated that a prima facie case of engaging in terrorism activities had been established against Kanu.

The court emphasized that at this stage of the trial, the defense must make an end submission, and the prosecution must prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. Kanu's request to be transferred to the National Hospital for medical care was declined, with the court ordering the Nigerian Medical Association to assess his health condition.
