Prof. Haruna Musa Assumes Office as Bayero University’s 12th Vice-Chancellor

Professor Haruna Musa has officially taken office as the 12th Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University Kano (BUK) on August 18, succeeding Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in BUK's history, with Professor Musa outlining his vision for the university focused on Inclusion, Innovation, and Impact.

He emphasized the importance of teamwork, consultation, and transparent leadership to make BUK globally competitive. Professor Abbas, in his outgoing remarks, praised his successor and highlighted the achievements of his administration, including academic development, research partnerships, and infrastructure improvements.

The event concluded with Professor Musa assuming leadership, signaling a new era of innovation and inclusivity at the institution. Additionally, it was reported that BUK uncovered 96 fake Direct Entry results in 2024, emphasizing the importance of independently vetting admission documents to combat academic fraud.
