Prof Jega's Wife Hajiya Hadiza Jega Passes Away

Prof Jega, currently serving as the co-chairman of the Presidential Livestock Reform Implementation Committee (PLRIC) and a special advisor to the President on livestock development, has lost his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jega. The family confirmed her death, and a janaiza prayer is scheduled to take place at 1:30 PM on April 5, 2026, following the Zuhr prayer at the National Mosque in Abuja.

Hajiya Hadiza Jega was widely recognized for her contributions to education and community development, particularly across Northern Nigeria. The family has requested prayers for her soul, asking for Aljannah Firdausi, and has called on friends, associates, and well-wishers to remember her in their prayers during this mourning period.
