Governor Aliyu Condoles with Jega Over Wife's Death

Governor Ahmadu Aliyu of Sokoto State extended his condolences to Attahiru Jega, the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), over the death of his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jega. Governor Aliyu characterized the death of Hajiya Hadiza as a great loss not only to her family but also to the nation at large. He expressed his heartfelt sympathies and prayed for the Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannatul Firdau, while also providing comfort to the bereaved family. Hajiya Hadiza Jega's funeral prayer was held at the National Mosque in Abuja, and she was buried according to Islamic rites. Governor Aliyu visited Professor Jega at his residence in Gwarimpa, Abuja, accompanied by his Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters, Gandi Umar Muhammad Ahmadu Gohe Tafida.
