PRP Names Donald Duke as Presidential Candidate for 2027

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) has officially cleared Donald Duke, the former governor of Cross River State, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections. This decision was announced by Muham Ishaq, the party's National Working Committee (NWC), after a thorough review of the recent primaries and the subsequent approval of the committee's report.

The NWC upheld the outcomes of four elections, including governorship, senatorial, and House of Representatives positions. However, the primary election for the Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano was nullified.

The PRP aims to field a total of 420 candidates across various electoral positions in the upcoming elections, demonstrating its commitment to active participation in the electoral process. Ishaq expressed the party's dedication to the principles of internal democracy and credible leadership transformation in Nigeria.

The presidential primaries are scheduled for May 25, 2024.
