PRP Approves Donald Duke as Presidential Candidate for 2027

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) has officially cleared Donald Duke, the former governor of Cross River State, as its presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This decision was made by the party's National Working Committee (NWC) after the primary appeal committee completed its review of the recent primary elections.

Muham Ishaq, the party's national public secretary, announced the approval on Saturday. The NWC also approved results for governorship, senatorial, and House of Representatives primaries, with the exception of the Tarauni federal constituency in Kano, where the primary election was canceled.

The PRP plans to field a total of 420 candidates across various positions in the 2027 elections, reflecting the party's commitment to democratic principles and credible leadership transformation in Nigeria.
