PRP Demands Removal of APM Campaign Posters in Bauchi

The People's Redemption Party (PRP), led by Chairman Abdurrahman Yusuf Muazu, has issued a three-day ultimatum to the Bauchi State Government to remove campaign posters belonging to the All Progressives Movement (APM) displayed on public structures. This demand follows a previous directive from the Bauchi State Infrastructure Development Maintenance Agency (BASIDMA) to remove such materials to restore urban order.

Muazu accused the APM of disregarding this directive and continuing to display their campaign materials, which he claims creates an uneven playing field and undermines public confidence in the electoral process. He cited sections 92 and 95 of the Electoral Act, which prohibit such conduct.

The PRP has called for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to intervene and ensure fair opportunities for all political parties. If the APM fails to comply, the PRP may pursue legal action against the state government for violating electoral regulations.
