Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the UEFA Super Cup by defeating Aston Villa 2-1 on Wednesday in Salzburg, marking their second consecutive title in this competition. PSG, the Champions League holders, took the lead through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before Aston Villa's 17-year-old Brian Madjo equalized, making him the youngest scorer in Super Cup history.

Despite Villa's spirited performance, which showcased their capabilities as Europa League champions, PSG regained control with a decisive second-half goal from Désiré Doué. The match was officiated by Somali referee Omar Artan, who was selected after his exclusion from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This victory adds to PSG's impressive trophy haul, having previously won back-to-back Champions League titles and last year's Super Cup. The match took place at Stadion Salzburg, the venue's first major UEFA club final, and it was the 14th different location to host the Super Cup since it moved from Monaco.
