PSquare's $1M Theft Trial Reveals Allegations of Fund Diversion and Family Involvement

The trial of music mogul Jude Okoy and his company, Northside Music Ltd, continued in Lagos with theft charges related to the alleged diversion of $1 million. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accused Okoy and his wife of diverting funds from the company between 2016 and 2023.

During the trial, revelations emerged about financial transactions, including payments to Peter Okoy's entities. Peter Okoy claimed the funds were for a joint business venture with his brother, P Square.

The defense team introduced documents to challenge the EFCC's investigation. The case shed light on opaque financial dealings within the Okoy brothers' business empire.
