Kwara Governor Confirms Terrorists Killed 75 in Brutal Attack

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq revealed that terrorists carried out a brutal attack in Woro Nuku Village and another community in Kaiama Local Government Area, resulting in the deaths of at least 75 residents. The attack, which occurred on a Tuesday evening, involved armed men storming the communities and opening fire indiscriminately.

The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations were ongoing to determine the exact casualty figures and missing persons. Governor Abdulrazaq condemned the attack as a cowardly act of terror and announced the immediate deployment of an army battalion to the area to restore security.

He emphasized that the government would not abandon the affected communities and was taking decisive action to neutralize the terrorist threat. The governor also mentioned that Bola Tinubu approved the deployment of the army battalion as part of the operation to safeguard the area.
