Qatar Condemns Iran's Missile Strikes on Civilian Areas

In a recent statement, Qatar's Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, firmly rejected Iran's justification for its missile strikes, which he claimed hit civilian areas and critical infrastructure within Qatar. During a phone conversation with Iran's Foreign Minister, Abba Araghchi, Al Thani highlighted evidence indicating that the attacks affected residential areas, including locations near Hamad International Airport.

He described the missile strikes as a grave escalation that threatens Qatar's critical industrial facilities, particularly those linked to the country's liquefied natural gas production, which is vital for the nation's economy and global energy supply. Al Thani characterized the strikes as a clear violation of Qatar's sovereignty and a breach of international law, warning that such actions endanger civilian populations and cannot be justified under any circumstances.

He reiterated Qatar's commitment to regional stability and diplomacy amidst rising tensions with Iran and other Gulf states.
