Qatar Introduces Nine On-Arrival Visa Types for Travelers

Qatar's Ministry of Interior has published details regarding nine categories of on-arrival visas for foreign nationals entering the country, effective in 2026. This initiative allows eligible travelers to obtain entry permission directly at the airport without prior application.

The visa categories include: a 90-day tourist visa, a 30-day tourist visa, a common tourist visa for 33 countries, a visa for GCC residents and their accompaniers, a visa for accompaniers of GCC citizens, an on-arrival visa for truck drivers from GCC countries, a visa for newborn babies, a visa for seafarers, and a business visa subject to specific terms and conditions. The introduction of a shared tourist visa for 33 countries indicates Qatar's aim to simplify entry for a broader range of international travelers.
