Carlos Queiroz Reappointed as Ghana Head Coach

Carlos Queiroz has been reappointed as the head coach of Ghana’s men’s national team by the Ghana Football Association (GFA). The 73-year-old previously took charge of the Black Stars in April and led them to the last 32 of the FIFA World Cup.

Following internal discussions, the GFA decided to re-engage Queiroz for another term, although the length of his new contract has not been disclosed. The GFA expressed confidence in Queiroz’s extensive international experience and technical expertise to lead the team into a new chapter.

Queiroz expressed his pride and honor in continuing the role, emphasizing the privilege and responsibility of serving Ghana, one of Africa’s notable football nations. He stated that the team's ambition is to improve daily, unite the nation, and strive for victories with passion and humility.

Queiroz will begin his second term with the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which are set to commence later this month.
