ANJET to Honor Radisson Group and Owoyemi in Lagos

The Association of Nigerian Journalists and Writers of Tourism (ANJET) will honor Chief Tajudeen Owoyemi and the Radisson Group for their significant contributions to the growth of Nigeria's hospitality industry. The awards will be presented during ANJET's 2026 Conference, scheduled for October at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.

This conference aims to unite tourism and hospitality stakeholders to discuss industry developments, particularly focusing on the Tinubu administration's immigration reforms and their implications for tourism. ANJET's leadership stated that the recognition reflects the substantial impact both recipients have had on the hospitality sector over the years.

Chief Owoyemi's contributions date back to 2005 when he opened Avalon Hotel Offa, pioneering upscale privately owned hotels outside Lagos and Ibadan. His investments have not only enhanced the reputation of local hospitality but also created employment opportunities, influencing Nigeria's hospitality landscape for nearly 25 years.
