Raheem Sterling Leaves Chelsea by Mutual Consent, Ending Contract Early

Raheem Sterling has departed Chelsea by mutual consent, ending his contract prematurely. The 31-year-old English winger had 18 months left on his lucrative £325,000 per week deal.

Sterling leaves Stamford Bridge after three and a half seasons, following his £47.5 million move in 2022. Chelsea will provide a payout to Sterling, saving money compared to the £20 million remaining on his contract.

Despite not playing any competitive matches since May 2024, Sterling trained separately from the first team. Several clubs, including Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen, explored deals for the England international, but no move materialized.

Sterling, who won 13 trophies during his career, expressed his desire to continue playing in London or abroad.
